Position :FINANCE ASSOCIATE
Location: Based in Chennai
Experience: 5 to 8 years combined auditing & accounting experience; work experience in an
INGO would be an advantage but is not required
Broad roles and responsibilities:
The successful candidate will process transactions, including payroll and filing TDS, prepare the financial reports and statements of the Chalice India Liaison office, maintain its accounting records, liaise with external auditors
and provide advisory, technical and other professional support to partner NGOs. He or she will also review partner NGOs’ quarterly financial reports and visit programme sites on a quarterly basis to conduct internal audits,
including a review of their financial management processes and internal controls.
Required skills and experience:
*5-8 years combined experience in financial and management accounting, internal or external auditing,
budgeting, cash management and preparing financial statements.
*Proficiency in MS Excel and working knowledge in accounting software, preferably Tally.
*Ability to converse and write fluently in English.
*Proactive.
*Organized, with a keen attention to detail.
*Good interpersonal skills and a team player.
*Ability to multi task and work under pressure while maintaining accuracy and meeting deadlines.
*Initiative to learn and improve self.
